Today’s taster is a bit different, this one is for the postnatal period, so a massive congratulations on the birth of your baby!
This a gentle postnatal sun salutation, that’s great to add to the start of a longer practice or do on its own if you’re new to yoga or exercise.
Please ensure you’ve been ok’d to practice yoga by a health care professional (at least 6 weeks following an issue free vaginal birth, 8/10 weeks after an assisted birth, or with more than a few stitches, and 12 weeks after a caesarean birth, but it will differ for everyone, so please listen to your body). Starting to exercise too soon after birth can cause more harm than good. I’ve sadly seen people worsen diastasis recti, simply by starting exercise too soon.
